Phthalates: This is yet another inevitable chemical you can find in almost any product. They come under many categories and are hard to identify. But these phthalates have the capacity to cause reproductive defects and developmental issues in children. Always look for the term “Fragrance” in your product. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS): Commonly found in body washes, shampoos and face washes SLS or SLES as they are referred to, are known to cause cancer, tumors, kidney and liver damage.
